A mess of discordants masquerading as "Collective (Sketch)"

One of the conservatory's students wrote this piece during a workshop.  Intended to be developed into a longer piece, the composer "seeks to create a theatricla atmosphere instead of trying to provoke one".  Apparently, the "chaotic and improvisational-like scenarios are interwoven with related materials to create a unique sense of unity through abstract randomness".

Was fuer ein Chaos!

One of the composer's fellow students, the flotist performing this "unique sense of unity" performed in a previous recital and was pretty good.  Here, the four performers seemed to struggle to stay coherent, or perhaps they should even need a score to perform that piece.  A bunch of toddlers banging pots and pans would have created the same mess of discordants as did this composer whose works were performed at international music festival.

Thank goodness after about 8 minutes of the slaughterhouse, a much saner Calrinet Concerto in A Major, K622 by Mozart was performed.  Although only the third Rondo: Allegro movement was performed, it was enough to convince me that despite being a modern person, my music preferences were decidedly baroque-classical-romantic.
