One month on....and my verdict is....
This pair of Tracce walks.  Or rather, I can walk in this pair of Tracce, and not have sore feet or squashed toes, and happily, the shoes don't cut into my heels too, unlike most other new shoes.

It always feels good to own a nice pair of walkable shoes that do not cost a bomb.
