I had to wait quite a bit for my lunch order to arrive, and was initially a little annoyed as I had presumed that what I had ordered was a put-together of pre-prepared items.
The server finally arrived with a what I thought was a too-large tray with a covered lacquered box, a bowl of covered soup and a spoon. The box looked small and I thought I was going to be hungry.
It wasn't so bad when I lifted the lid off the lacqured box, because it was filled quite to the top with a lot of different items. There was a fairly large portion of what appeared to be grilled minced chicken, two portions of tamagoyaki, a shitake, two green peppers, and three de-skewered portions of chicken parts, all sitting on a bed of rice, and a soup with two minced chicken balls which had sank to the bottom of the soup. This was a lot of food (chicken), and I did observe females customers ordering this.
The soup was chicken soup, and reminded me of very good soto ayam made with real chicken and not chicken stock.
After a rather bursting lunch, I exited the restaurant and realised that there was a plastic model of the dish on display, and what I ate did look almost exactly like the plastic model!
