Beefsteak at TCC [洋食]

This was the first time I've dined at TCC since the menu was revamped.
While this dish is beefsteak, it wasn't exactly beef steak per se.
There was quite a lot of things to eat from the plate.
There was a thin slab of beef resting on a lettuce leaf sitting on a pastry: an odd combination of salty meaty juices with fresh vegetables and sweet pastry.
It came with 2 side salads of raw leaves and cooked potatoes and carrots.
While I liked that there was quite a bit of greens, I'm wondering if the cook had come from a country where tastebuds are different.  Food at TCC used to taste good to me, but this dish I had was too salty and oily for my liking.

Increasingly, I've had to remind cooks to have a light touch with oil and salt when I order food, but still the food still arrives too salty and oily.
