"Democracy has prevailed"

Declared the New York Times as Joe Biden is augurated as the 46th POTUS.

While the past 4 years were probably mind boggling to many people, it cannot be denied that in the last few months of 2020, the world probably got to see for itself (and me too, after a couple of documentaries showing the other side of globalisation - one that many in countries that benefitted from globalisation never saw and probably couldn't care less) that the globalisation had not lifted all boats.  In fact, some boats sank.  People on the sunk boats probably found an outlet for their frustrations conveniently, however the polling results of the election did demonstrate their distrust of the current system.  Hopefully the new POTUS can, as he said "...end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal...".
