Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport [Japan]

I think every decent international airport and most decent domestic airports ought to have an airport hotel either right in the terminal building or in an adjacent building within sheltered walking distance from the terminal.

Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport checked both the above two boxes, and I must say I was thankful that I did not have to brave the winter cold travelling for an hour or so into Osaka city proper after landing late at night.

While there were restaurants in the Hotel, there was also more affordable food in the terminal a short walk away, plus a combini at the entrance of the Hotel, so food is never a worry.

Rooms at Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport are categorised into First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy.  Rooms in Premium Economy are pretty reasonable, so it is possible to brave an economy flight and stay in relative comfort in Premium Economy at the Hotel.

Twin rooms in Premium Economy are at a spacious 29m2, and some rooms are even connected, which makes for comfortable stay.  There was definitely sufficient rooms for large check-in luggages to be laid flat on the floor with still space to walk around.

The bathroom was also sufficiently large, with the sink, toilet and tub separate unlike most business hotels in Japan.  Toiletries were generous, with a set each of soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash for each occupant in the room.

Toiletries were from Thalgo, a Japanese brand I never used before, but they smelt good, so I wasn't complaining.
