My thoughts
If I had no
prior how Oprah Winfrey is, Maxwell’s recount of how far Winfrey’s listening
skills had brought her would be totally lost on me. I concur with Maxwell that the ability to
listen is one quality that great leaders should have. In fact, I think everyone should nurture this
quality. Too often, many people, having
been conditioned in class to “speak up”, go on and on regardless of their
listeners’ level of interest and attention span.
